About Me  

I'm Massimo Romano, A.I. Engineer who is really passionate about robotics and artificial intelligence. Since I was a child I observed technology with great curiosity and interest. At the age of 16 I began to experiment with my first projects with the Arduino microcontroller. 

The desire to discover more and more, in 2017, led me to choose the bachelor's degree course in Cybernetic Engineering - Mechatronics at the University of Palermo. During those years, until graduation in 2021, I learned the basics of computer science, electronics, control, automation, industrial and mobile robotics. 

In parallel with my studies, I have decided to start doing private lessons in scientific subjects through an online platform called Superprof. 

In 2019 I did a curricular internship at CNR (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche) that give me the opportunity to learn ROS (Robot Operating System) and Gazebo software, starting to work on my bachelor thesis on "Control techniques for a robotic manipulator using genetic algorithms in ROS environment". 

After graduating, in 2022, I decided to continue my studies with the master's degree in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics at Sapienza University of Rome, driven by the most modern interest in artificial intelligence. During these years I learned a lot of very recent topics such as Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Natural Language Processing, Industrial and Autonomous Mobile Robotics. 

During the master's degree studies, in 2023, I won a scholarship at Sapienza as Teaching Assistant, that give me the opportunity to do tutoring activities in G4Greta project.
